School Council

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.

Our school council is guided by Mrs Wilkins.

Our Roles and responsibilities with our own class

We hold regular Class Council meetings where we listen to and share ideas from the whole class and then feed these back into our Whole School Council meetings. This can either be something that the School Council have asked for suggestions from each class or just general issues that have arisen in and around school.

Our Roles and responsibilities for the whole school

We meet every two weeks and either share ideas from our own Class Council meetings, generate ideas or make decisions on whole school issues such as: fundraising, special event days or Golden time activities. Decisions made within School Council can, and do ,have a real impact on the rest of the school.

To be a School Council Representative you must:

  • be a good speaker and listener
  • be prepared to take an active role in all meetings
  • be the voice of your class and school

Covid Restrictions:

Due to Covid restrictions we have been unable to hold School Council Meetings during 2020/21.

We intend to start again from October 2021.
